Hi, I’m Montse.
I’m a trilingual communicator passionate about leadership, storytelling, and helping people connect across cultures.
Having lived in Brazil, Mexico, and the United States, I’ve learned that curiosity, adaptability, and communication can open doors and bring people together. Whether I’m developing leaders, creating digital content, writing, or exploring new ideas, I’m always looking for ways to make complex topics more meaningful and accessible.
I have a B.A. in Planning, Public Policy and Management with a Minor in Media Studies from the University of Oregon. I have also completed Graduate Coursework in Organizational Behavior.
Journalism was my first dream. Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, I attended journalism camps at Northern Kentucky University and Ohio University and even shadowed at my local news station. At the same time, I entered a teaching program at Anderson High School because I wanted to explore both journalism and education; two career paths that inspired me from an early age.
Teaching has always been part of my family’s story. My mother and her sisters are educators, and my grandparents were accounting professors, so a love of learning and helping others has always run in my veins. When my family moved to Oregon, life took me in a different direction, leading me into leadership, higher education, and student development. Those experiences shaped who I am and strengthened my skills in communication, mentoring, and public engagement. Now, I’ve come full circle, returning to the passions that first inspired me: educating, informing, and making a meaningful impact through storytelling.
